Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Nauticat 33. Got some electrical problems at the moment, trying to sort out some ‘improvements’ installed by previous well meaning owners.

The German who bought it from Siltala had a 220v system installed then the South African computer tech who lived on it for 5 years did…..well, he bought a lot of wire …!

It’s worth enquiring of Kai at Siltala if they have a diagram for your vessel. They started producing diagrams in the mid 90’s for the Mk11 33’s, they are very individual. If your problem relates to the Switch board which I see opened in the picture, problems there are often related to the resistors used in the Italian circuit board. Unsolder, test and replace them(even if they are still to spec, they will fail alongside new components).

Hi Ned

I sympathise. I have various bits of paper purporting to be wiring diagrams but I suspect my wiring has been altered quite a bit over Wild Cat’s 39 years of life (1977 33 Mk2).

I can send you what I have but not until I next visit Wild Cat which won’t be until middle of October. If you let me know on roger@rogerturge.me.uk before 10 October that you still need them I’ll try to get them to you sometime after I get back on 17 October

I have the original diagrams for my 43 year old Nauticat 33 ZARZUELA. Her previous owner was an electrician who took many short cuts when adding new equipment and I have had to rewire some circuits and completely rebuild the switch board.

ZARZUELA is currently under offer but I think I will be able to retrieve a copy of the diagrams. I will let you know when I have them.
